Jason’s earliest taste of business was as a five year old sitting in the college businesses courses taught by his father. He began his business career as a Banker then as an Accountant. During his eight years as a corporate Accountant (learning business from the “inside out”), he discovered his knack for business development while consulting with local (DC metro) musicians. The following three years were spent in a recruiting sales position learning business from an “outside in” perspective.

The economic crash of 2008 had a significant impact on his co-workers and clients. He began writing what turned out to be an introduction to Patriotic Development (TM) called, “AMERICA: Still the Land of Opportunity, Always a Home for the Brave.” Taking the form of an audiobook, the theme of “AMERICA: Still the Land…” is one of optimism and personal courage. It speaks to the success of the United States of America over two centuries of history and how we as a people have succeeded through innovation and love despite every apparent crisis. Practically it outlines ways to add value as an employee or business owner and by doing so, ensure the success of our shared communities.

Jason believes that entrepreneurship is the key to success in our personal lives and in our communities. In 2009 he formed the Jason Howell Company; a consulting firm that supports innovation in small business using his unique background in accounting, sales and human resource management.

Local to the Washington, DC area, he is President of Accenture Toastmasters in Reston, VA where he was awarded with a “Competent Communicator” designation.  He is also Vice-President of the Washington, DC chapter of ALPFA, an organization invested in enriching the lives of Latino professionals across the country.  Jason is certified through the National Strength Professionals Association (NSPA) as a Certified Fitness Trainer.   He is also a new member of a business focused networking organization in Reston, Virginia called Business Networking International (BNI).
