Daily Money Management
Emily Booth-Dornfeld
Everyday Money Management

Emily is an attorney with more than twenty years serving clients in financial services. She received her B.A. from Georgetown University in 1996 and her J.D. from Penn State Law in 1999. Before joining Everyday Money Management she was Counsel in the Washington, D.C. consumer financial services groups at K&L Gates and then Mayer Brown, advising mortgage lenders, banks, title companies, and real estate brokerages on federal and state regulatory compliance.
Her daily money management work is the unglamorous half of a financial life: establishing budgets, tracking income, expenses, and charitable contributions, reconciling accounts, paying bills, sorting mail and files, submitting insurance claims, organizing tax documents, and keeping planners, accountants, and estate attorneys talking to each other. She also handles compensation for household employees, claims on long-term care policies, and the financial tasks that follow the death of a spouse, the sale of a residence, or a move.
Her clients include seniors, busy professionals, people managing illness, and estates. She has volunteered with Legal Counsel for the Elderly and sits on the Fairfax Advisory Committee of Planning for Senior Life.
